Shanghai World Expo team briefs Austcham Shanghai on 4 July
On the morning of 4 July, 51members of Austcham Shanghai, (the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai), attended a briefing by senior representatives of the Shanghai World Expo Unit.
With less than 700 days until the expo begins, Commissioner General for Australia and Shanghai World Expo Unit Executive Director, Peter Tesch, updated the Australian business representatives on progress and timelines, including the upcoming major tenders.
David Glass, Director of Business and Communications, outlined the scale of Australia’s business program, planned to consist of some 250 targeted events held over 184 days, and detailed the opportunities for Austcham members to take part.
Similar briefings will also be held for Austcham Beijing on 8 July and Austcham Hong Kong on 9 July.
